A shooting at the Abundant Life Christian School (ALCS) in Madison, Wisconsin, United State, has left three dead and six others injured.
The shooting by a supposedly by a juvenile student of the school took place on Monday December 16.
Madison police said in a statement that it received a phone call at 10.57 a.m. of an active shooter, adding that when its officers arrived the school, they found multiple victims suffering from gunshots.
The police also said it located the body of a juvenile who they believed was the shooter.
“Today is a sad, sad day, not only for Madison but for our entire country,” Chief of Police Shon F. Barnes said.
“Yet another police chief is doing a press conference to speak about violence in our community, specifically in one of the places that’s most sacred to me as someone who loves education and to someone who has children that are in school,” Barnes added.
“Please pray for our Challenger Family,” the school said in a statement on its Facebook page.
The shooting brings to two the number of Christian schools where such incident happened in U.S. this month.
In the first week of December, there was a shooting at Feather River Adventist School in Butte County, California leaving two injured.
