Apostles Arome Osayi and Michael Orokpo put their past disagreements on June 3 and renew their relationship in Christ.

Dr John Akpami, the Founder and President of Global Revival Gospel Ministries International a.k.a. Christian Teaching Centre Family Church, facilitated the reconciliation which held in Zaria, the church’s headquarters.

Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Dr (Pastor) Paul Enenche, Pastor David Ogbueli and some other ministers of God reportedly played some roles in the reconciliation.

Orokpo served in the Remnant Christian Ministry (RCM), Makurdi, Benue State, North Central Nigeria, for several years before leaving some years ago to float his own ministry, Encounter Jesus Ministries International, Abuja which began on November 11, 2021.

Orokpo was regarded as the spiritual son of Pastor Osayi until they had some misunderstanding with Osayi, his spiritual father.

Why we parted ways – Orokpo

Speaking once on the misunderstanding sometimes ago, the fiery Apostles Orokpo said people told a lot of lies against him prompting him to quit RCN.

“Where I was serving a lot of controversies came up. People told a lot of lies against me. I had to go and beg the authorities about four times. I pleaded and begged but things boomerang,” he said.

He stated that he was a dedicated minister in the ministry that his brother’s death did not affect.

According to him, to underscore his commitment to the ministry, he conducted an impartation service at its Bible school the day after his brother’s death. He added that even when his brother was in a coma, he still taught consecutively for five days.

Orokpo said people would record his conversations, edit them to present to the church authorities. He added that he kept apologising for what they claimed he did.

“I became bitter against the people around me. I sowed seed and respected all people but they wanted me to go down. I began to wonder – is this church? Is this the house of God,” he said?

The 43-year old native of Otukpa in Benue State, said the development was getting him bitter and in the process God told him that if he was not careful, it could ruin his ministry.

He said, “God told me this is revival and one of the things that happen during revival is separation. By all means, there must be separation. It could be Holy Ghost-induced separation, it could be induced by disagreement, it could be induced by persecution.”

He cited the biblical example of Chapter 13 of the Act of the Apostles where the Holy Ghost separated Paul and Barnabas on account of John Mark. He also recalled the persecution in the church in Jerusalem, which made believers to scatter.

Nothing personal

Orokpo, who holds a PhD in Chemistry, however, stressed that there was nothing personal between him and Osayi.

“It is not a personal thing. He is a man of God. I love him, God has used him for me. The people are those who allow themselves to be used of the devil,” he said.
