David Oyedepo, the presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church, Nigeria, also known as Winners Chapel, says the Muhammadu Buhari-led federal administration is the worst in the history of the country, Punch newspapers is reporting.<\/p>\n

Oyedepo stated this while delivering a sermon during the second service of the church at its headquarters, Faith Tabernacle, Ota, Ogun State, on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The cleric specifically described the hate speech bill sponsored by Senator Sabi Abdullahi (APC Niger), as the most ridiculous bill ever sponsored.<\/p>\n

This is the second time Oyedepo would criticise the controversial bill. Last December, he had condemned the bill, describing it as deriving from a stone age mentality.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Oyedepo lamented that while the government was seeking to criminalise hate speech, those who kill others at will walked the street free.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe government in this country is making a draconian law \u2013 hate speech. They said if you speak hatefully, you have committed murder,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOut of someone who says I will kill you and the one who kills, who has committed a crime. I don\u2019t understand which kind of animal farm we live in.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said stop stepping on my toes and you said that is hate speech but somebody kills and he is walking free on the streets. This is the most stupid and nonsensical ideal anybody can think of.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said you are bad and you said that is a crime, Must I say you are good when you are bad.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my view, you are bad and you shouldn\u2019t be a leader. I have the right to say so.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as I am concerned, I am a true born and thorough-bred Nigerian, an intelligent one. In my view this is the worst thing that has happened to Nigeria \u2013 this government. It is the worst and in fact it is like a curse.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been here for some time and I led the first prayer and fasting for Nigeria in 1979. I am not a baby in the affairs of Nigeria. This is the worst government, a government with no direction. Their days are numbered.
