{"id":606,"date":"2020-02-12T23:29:43","date_gmt":"2020-02-12T22:29:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/?p=606"},"modified":"2020-02-12T23:29:43","modified_gmt":"2020-02-12T22:29:43","slug":"im-becoming-more-religious-facebook-ceo-zuckerberg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/?p=606","title":{"rendered":"I\u2019m becoming more religious \u2013 Facebook CEO, Zuckerberg"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, says he has become a \u201cmore religious\u201d because of some challenges he has encountered in recent times.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zuckerberg disclosed this during an interview at Silicon Slopes Tech Summit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 36-years-old who is worth $80.7 billion (as of January) has recently faced criticisms over ceaseless accusations that the social media platform not only has anti-conservative bias but also influenced elections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He had appeared before U.S. Congress after lawmakers expressed concern about Facebook\u2019s involvement in the financial system and other issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zuckerberg, who renounced atheism in December 2016, admitted that \u201cthe last few years have been very humbling for me. I have become more religious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Facebook CEO also said it is important to believe in something \u201cbigger than ourselves, adding that his family would remain more important to him than his work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He stressed, \u201cWe all need to feel like we are parts of things that are bigger than ourselves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI try to put my girls to be every night\u2026I don\u2019t always get to do that but that is important to me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWork is important\u2026. But at the end of the day we are all people, and you need your family and friends and communities around you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cYou have to believe in things that are bigger than yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In December 2016, Zuckerberg, who was raised in a Jewish home, posted on his Facebook page that he had found religion, saying he was \u201ccelebrating Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI was raised Jewish and then I went through a period where I questioned things.
