{"id":444,"date":"2019-12-09T21:56:48","date_gmt":"2019-12-09T20:56:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/?p=444"},"modified":"2019-12-09T21:56:48","modified_gmt":"2019-12-09T20:56:48","slug":"government-house-chaplain-sacked-by-ex-gov-ambode-honoured","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/?p=444","title":{"rendered":"Government House chaplain sacked by Ex-Gov Ambode honoured"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two and half years after he was dismissed by the Lagos State Government as its chaplain, Venerable Femi Taiwo, has been honoured by the same government, The Punch has reported.<\/p>\n<p>Taiwo was honoured at the Chapel of Christ Light, Alausa, Ikeja.<\/p>\n<p>Taiwo, his wife and two children were evicted from the vicarage in May 2017 for allegedly not according Bolanle, wife of the then governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, preference and recognition during an anointing service.<\/p>\n<p>Following the alleged disrespect and disregard, the former first lady reportedly left the service in anger, joined by members of her entourage.<\/p>\n<p>The cleric was later served with a dismissal letter.<\/p>\n<p>Taiwo was on Wednesday presented with a gift by Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf, the state Commissioner for Home Affairs and Culture, who was joined by some senior staff of the ministry.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during the event, Taiwo said, \u201cI thank God for His faithfulness and the uncommon grace and rare privilege He has given to me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thank the Lagos State Government and Mr. Governor, Aduramigba Iyanuoluwa Babajide Sanwo-Olu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI appreciate you and everyone. In the midst of the storm of life, you stood by me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe day I was to leave here I saw angels coming down in the form of men. Spontaneously, I saw members of this church come around me and providing all a man could need to survive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happened that day, nobody prepared for it; nobody thought of it. But God went ahead and made the crooked way straight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thank and appreciate all of you and I pray that the glory of God will shine on your lives. Throughout the time I spent here, I had no regrets because you were all around me.
