{"id":26,"date":"2019-08-25T06:45:50","date_gmt":"2019-08-25T06:45:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/?p=26"},"modified":"2019-09-04T12:43:05","modified_gmt":"2019-09-04T12:43:05","slug":"estimated-cost-of-central-sulawesi-disaster-reaches-nearly-1b","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/?p=26","title":{"rendered":"FG condemns pastor\u2019s killing in China"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"intro-text\">\n<p>The Chairman, Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has demanded a probe into the death of a Nigerian pastor, Joseph Nwajueze, in China.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>She said the killing of the Anambra -born cleric by the Chinese security operatives must be thoroughly investigated and the culprits punished.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased was living with his wife, Chinwe, and four children in China before he was allegedly killed by security operatives while trying to escape arrest for alleged visa violations.<\/p>\n<p>But Dabiri-Erewa in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday, by NIDCOM Head of Media, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said there was no justifiable reason for the killing.<\/p>\n<p>She equally condemned the stigmatisation of Nigerians living in China.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said, \u201cAbike Dabiri-Erewa, however, appealed to angry Nigerians in China not take the law into their own hands as the Federal Government will ensure that justice is done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culled from Punch<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chairman, Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has demanded a probe into the death of a Nigerian pastor, Joseph Nwajueze, in China.
