{"id":2539,"date":"2025-08-17T16:40:01","date_gmt":"2025-08-17T15:40:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/?p=2539"},"modified":"2025-08-17T16:40:01","modified_gmt":"2025-08-17T15:40:01","slug":"ayo-babalola-coza-pastor-biodun-fatoyinbo-apologises-after-backlash-says-statements-on-cac-founder-children-misconstrued","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/?p=2539","title":{"rendered":"Ayo Babalola: COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo, apologises after backlash, says statements on CAC founder, children misconstrued\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2279\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2279\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2279\" src=\"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pastor-Biodun-Fatoyinbo-300x173.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"173\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pastor-Biodun-Fatoyinbo-300x173.webp 300w, https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pastor-Biodun-Fatoyinbo.webp 540w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2279\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Commonwealth of Zion Assembly Senior Pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo,\u00a0 has acknowledged the scolding by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) over his claims on the latter&#8217;s founder, Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Fatoyinbo also apologised to the CAC if his statements on Babalola caused the church any form of distress, hurt, or discontentment.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The CAC had, in a <a href=\"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/?p=2536\">statement<\/a>, the COZA pastor over some claims he made about its founder and general evangelist.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nFatoyinbo had claimed that Apostle Babalola died a poor man despite being highly anointed by God.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nHe also said Babalola\u2019s children may not be doing well in life since the passing of their father.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe CAC upbraided Pastor Fatoyinbo for equating anointing with material wealth.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_2535\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2535\" style=\"width: 190px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2535\" src=\"https:\/\/thechristian.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Apostle-Ayo-Babalola.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"190\" height=\"109\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2535\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Apostle Ayo Babalola<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It urged the pastor to beware of his style of prosperity teaching, saying the words of Jesus in Luke 12:15 are clear.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nLuke 12:15 says, &#8220;Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one\u2019s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe CAC also said contrary to Fatoyinbo&#8217;s belief, Babalola\u2019s two children \u2014 Mama Eunice Wuraola Ogini and Apeke Adeniyi \u2014 &#8220;are alive, blessed, fulfilled, and quietly serving the Lord in their respective churches. They are not loud, ostentatious, or greedy.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>Read Rev Fatoyinbo&#8217;s full statement<\/p>\n<p>PRESS RELEASE BY THE COMMONWEALTH OF ZION ASSEMBLY<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nRE: PRESS RELEASE BY THE CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH (CAC News) ON REV BIODUN FATOYINBO<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nMy attention has been drawn to a press release on statements credited to my person relating to the family of the Late and Highly Revered Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, a most distinguished father of faith in Nigeria and indeed all over the world.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nI appreciate the fact that a church I personally love, admire and respect would be so kind and magnanimous enough to address the issues which have been misconstrued in an exemplary Christian manner. I am indeed grateful.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe exploits of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, which in the video I stated explicitly are too numerous to count remains the hall mark of most Christian organizations in Nigeria and beyond till this very moment.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nIndeed many of the churches in this part of the world take their DNA either directly or indirectly from the ministry and grace over the life of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola of which I cannot but also state categorically that I am a beneficiary.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nI am therefore honored, humbled and grateful for every word, admonition and correction in the statement issued this morning by CAC. I am a child who grew up in the church and cannot erase that part of my formative years.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nLet me state however that at no time in the sermon did I refer to the children of the late Apostle and Father of faith in bad light. I would never do that.
