Minna Crusade<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Founder and Senior Pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Nigeria, Dr Paul Enenche, has said the church does not collect offerings at crusade grounds.<\/p>\n

He said the church is not after the money of those attending its crusades but after their souls. He, however, said members of the church and a few others donate towards the conduct of the crusades.<\/p>\n

The popular cleric said this during a sermon on Sunday March 9.<\/p>\n

Enenche was preaching on the sermon he titled, \u201cGod’s Financial Dominion Plan for His People.” He took the text from 3 John 2<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is why we don\u2019t have any reason to take offerings on crusade grounds. That is why there is no need, no use, no reason (to take offerings).<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, we didn\u2019t go to preach to take money from the sinner. We came to preach to take the souls to God.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomebody came to say that you should bring an offering, how is that? He came drunkeous, smokeous <\/em>and you say \u2018pay into the offering basket.\u2019 He said \u2018what am I paying for?\u2019 He might ask that question. \u2018Is it for a cigarette? Or what would they give me for the payment?\u201d<\/p>\n

Past and coming crusades<\/strong><\/p>\n

Enenche\u2019s Dunamis church has organised some of the largest crusades locally and abroad in recent times.<\/p>\n

The church is currently holding a two-day healing and deliverance crusade in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, South-South Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Jalingo Headling and Deliverance Crusade<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

It will proceed from Calabar to Awka in Anambra State and Maiduguri in Borno State later in the week.<\/p>\n

Two weeks ago, it organised crusades in Warri, Delta State, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and Lagos, all of which drew massive crowds. Before then, the church had held a massive crusade in Idah, Kogi State.<\/p>\n

Among other healing and deliverance crusades already lined up for the year are Pakistan, Togo, Ghana, London, Canada and the United States.<\/p>\n

Last year, DIGC held such crusades in Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Kaduna, Ethiopia, London, Kenya, Canada, Malawi, Gaborone and FrancisTown in Botswana, Baltimore, Fort Worth and Houston, Texas in the United States,<\/p>\n

Locally, crusades were also held in Lagos, Asaba in Delta State, Suleja in Niger State, Sokoto, Adoka and Otukpo in Benue State, Apo in Abuja, and Okpo in Kogi State.<\/p>\n

Some of these crusades are only comparable to those held by the late German-American Pentecostal evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke.<\/p>\n

Spreading the gospel is not cheap<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the sermon, the medical doctor-turned pastor said spreading the gospel is not cheap.<\/p>\n

According to him, the devil is comfortable with a church with poor members because after praying for souls they would not have the resources to go to the field to evangelise souls into the kingdom of God.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe devil does not mind a poor church because poor church means minimal outreach, minimal efforts to reach the lost.<\/p>\n

A Dunamis crusade<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u201cDunamis TV has been running for over 15 years. There is nobody that is on Dunamis TV that is paying to be aired on it. Kenneth Copeland is aired on it; Daddy GO (Pastor Enoch Adeboye) is aired on it; Papa Oyedepo is aired on it; Bill Winston is aired on it. Everybody is aired on it.<\/p>\n

\u201cMillions per month is what we pay as a subscription, not N5 million, not N10 million, not N20 million per month, not per year. There are some you pay in dollars. Then as the exchange rate goes up, you need more naira,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe gospel is not cheap. That is why the devil is running crazy, He is comfortable with a poor church. He is comfortable with a poor church. He\u2019s comfortable with poor church members. They won\u2019t trouble him as much. You can trouble him with prayer. But you can pray in poverty. After you have finished praying, you don\u2019t go to the field to bring in the harvest you prayed about.<\/p>\n

\u201cThree crusades in one week! Who does that? When last did you hear that? You took no offering and you are moving. (There are also) night prayers.\u201d Who does things like that?<\/p>\n

\u201cI prophecy to everyone here, the devil will not laugh at you for poverty.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prayer for congregation<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the sermon, Enenche also spoke on the need for Christians to possess financial power to sponsor God\u2019s programmes on the earth.<\/p>\n
