Nigerian Gospel singer, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, has revealed how he was invited to the prestigious Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast in the United States ahead of the inauguration of President-elect, Donald Trump, and his deputy, JD Vance.<\/p>\n

Bassey had\u00a0announced<\/a>\u00a0on Instagram two weeks ago that he was invited to participate in the faith-based platform where prayers are offered to God for the president and the government.<\/p>\n

Trump will be inaugurated for a second term of four years on Monday January 20. He was president between 2017 and 2021.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a programme at the weekend, the singer said he was on his way from church when he got a call from a female cleric in the US, Reverend Merrie Turner, inviting him for the programme<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cA few weeks ago, we had just finished service and worshiping the Lord in His presence and enjoying His embrace.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd we were talking about glory. And the spirit of God had impressed on my heart to focus on God\u2019s glory for this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn my way from church, I got a call from a woman. She said my name is Reverend Turner, and she said to send for you to come and release the glory of God over our nation, America.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said \u2013 did you watch our live stream? She said \u2018no, I said the Lord said, come release the glory of God.\u2019 And then she began to weep over the phone and pray for me. She said she sees glory coming.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m seeing that glory coming in this place. I\u2019m seeing it. It\u2019s like a wave in this place.\u201d<\/p>\n

The prayer breakfast takes place every four years ahead of the official inauguration of an American president.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a prominent Nigerian pastor, William Kumuyi, has been invited to attend Trump\u2019s second inauguration.<\/p>\n
