Margaret Idahosa, wife of late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, has narrated how people who promised assistance after the death of her husband reneged on their promises.<\/p>\n

Mrs Idahosa spoke on Friday during the 70th<\/sup>\u00a0birthday ceremony of Bishop David Oyedepo, presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church a.k.a. Winners Chapel on Friday September 27.<\/p>\n

Archbishop Idahosa, founder of the Church of God Mission International (CGMI) with headquarters in Benin City, Edo State, South-South Nigeria, died on March 12, 1998. He is reputed to be the father of Pentecostal Movement in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

She said of the numerous people who made promises have gone \u201cfar\u201d noting that only Bishop Oyedepo has remained constant in his assistance to the Idahosa family.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwenty-six years ago my husband left this planet.\u00a0 And when the thanksgiving was done, many people came from everywhere. Oh, they said Margaret you have no problem, any time you have anything to do, just give me a call and we will be there.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwenty-six years after, I look back, they are far far far\u2026.. some never, never to be seen. But I have said that to say this, you have remained constant.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery storm I have passed through in ministry you (Oyedepo) have always been there. Every storm I have passed through in paying school fees he is standing with me. The children are here today\u2026,\u201d Mrs Idahosa said.<\/p>\n

Mrs Idahosa, an archbishop, currently leads CGMI. She is the Chancellor of Benson Idahosa University, Benin City.<\/p>\n
