Rest in Peace,\u201d Igbekele said.<\/p>\n<p>Aduke\u2019s most notable hit was \u201cNitori Ogo,\u201d a track that garnered her widespread acclaim.<\/p>\n<p>Born on March 16, 1990, Aduke graduated in History and International Relations from the Lagos State University. She later got diplomas in Montessori education, Child Psychology, and other fields.<\/p>\n<p>She reportedly adopted the stage name Aduke Gold following the advice of her mentor, Tope Alabi, a gospel singer.<\/p>\n<p>She was the CEO of MatGold pastries and MatGold Bamini Montessori schools.<\/p>\n<p>Aduke Gold was single at the time of her death.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cause of death<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the family of the late singer has revealed the cause of her death.<\/p>\n<p>There were conflicting reports about the cause of her death with some saying she died during a fibroids operation.<\/p>\n<p>Premium Times quoted Aderogbo Ajayi, a pastor and singer\u2019s brother, saying she did not die of fibroid removal surgery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was ill; she had cervical cancer (a type of cancer that starts in the cervix \u2013 the lower, narrow part of the uterus (womb) that connects to the vagina. Our daughter was ill; she had cervical cancer, and to the Glory of God, she rested on Monday, the 12<sup>th<\/sup> of August.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the information spreading around about the cause of her death is false. The press is not doing the right thing, and I don\u2019t know why it\u2019s like that. Instead of getting information from the right source, they spread rumours. She (Aduke Gold) started as a choir member in our church and rose to stardom. She was faithful and committed to this church,\u201d Pastor Ajayi said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burial<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He added that the Aduke would be buried on August 23.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cI am her elder brother and like a father to her because we are from the same father but different mothers. I started nurturing her in 1993 after the death of our father and from secondary to university, but unfortunately, we experienced her sudden death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe held a family meeting and decided that the burial would take place on the 23<sup>rd<\/sup> of August, with several outlined programmes.
