U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, says he reads the Bible every morning because it is God that gives him capacity to work.

He also said reads the intelligence report about threat the Americans at home and around the world each morning.

Christian Today newspapers reports that Pompeo made the disclosure in an interview with Pastor Greg of the Harvest Christian Fellowship, a California megachurch.

“I manage to synthesize them…knowing that the Lord gives me the capacity to work, to be diligent,” Pompeo said.

“I hope He’ll give me the wisdom and the perseverance to meet these challenges head-on in a way that protects the American people.”

Pompeo said he goes back to the Bible every day “and remind myself that the Lord is looking out over this world…The Lord is watching us.”
