Speaking during the commissioning of the 300m road on Monday, Enenche, urged Christians to make a difference in their environment by what they give.

The cleric, who had concluded a three-day crusade in the area the previous day, noted that making a difference was superior to making a living, adding that it was the responsibility of the church to show light to the world, offer humanitarian services where needed.

It was the second road rehabilitated by the DIGC Enenche would be commissioning in the last three weeks.

He had commissioned the Boundary road in Nyanya axis of the federal capital territory last month. Boundary road separates the FCT from Nasarawa State.

“We did this to show that this is what the church is all about,” Enenche said while commissioning the Kubwa road on Monday.

“We increase the relevance of our existence by what we give.

“Generosity is the meaning of prosperity because prosperity without generosity equals adversity.

“Riches without outreach equal wretchedness,” he said.

Enenche urged individuals, politicians and religious leaders to impact positively on the lives of others because doing so would make the world a better place to live in.

Also speaking, the Resident Pastor of DIGC in Kubwa, said the church had not only been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ but also demonstrating love and showing light to its host community.

“We are practicing the gospel to the people of God because of the love of God,” Ayodele said.

On his part, the Chairman of the Landlord Association in Kubwa District Centre, Ifeanyi Uwaje praised DIGC for the project, saying the area was now conductive to move around, when compared to previous years.

He said before the rehabilitation, the road was nightmare to motorists and commuters, especially during rainy reason.

“The road was in a very bad state. Most of the time we contribute money to fill up the bad spots with sand. But it never worked.

“We are full of gratitude to the church.

“The road commissioned today is more than 300m,’’ he said.

The senator representing the FCT, Philip Aduda, commended the church for reaching out to the need of the society.

Aduda, who is the Minority Whip of Senate, promised to be involved in the completion of the road construction.

He called on others to emulate DIGC so that the society would be a better place for all.
