Bishop David Abioye

Former Vice President of the Living Faith Church worldwide, Bishop David Abioye, is finally set to launch a full-fledged church after revealing that the weekly fellowship he leads would commence Sunday morning service on May 4.

Abioye announced this on his Facebook page on Monday.

“Exciting news! By the grace of God, starting next Sunday, our service is moving to the morning, 8.00 a.m. It’s a new day for you –come ready to be blessed mightily in Jesus name,” he said.

“Mark your calendar, set your alarms – we can’t wait to see you there. Tag someone you’re inviting,” he added.

He had announced to members of the fellowship the previous day thus, “Very important information. From next Sunday by the grace of God, our service is migrating to morning. Hallelujah! And the time is 8 a.m. God bless you mightily in Jesus name.”

Abioye was retired from LFC, one of Nigeria’s mega churches founded by Bishop David Oyedepo, in October last year after a policy review that put the mandatory retirement age for leaders at 55.

He was retired alongside another vice president, Bishop, Thomas Aremu, Both were 62 and 67 years respectively at the time.

Shortly after, he began to hold a weekly fellowship called “Hour of Revival” every Sunday evening at the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

He said the fellowship, which had impressive attendance, was divinely ordained.

Upon retirement, Bishop Aremu, however, said he would not float a ministry but instead would remain a member of LFC.
