Hinn and wife, Suzanne

Fourteen years after their first divorce, Suzanne, wife of healing evangelist Benny Hinn, has again filed for divorce from her husband.

Suzanne filed the divorce papers in Hillsborough County in Tampa, Florida in July.

Hinn, founder of World Outreach Church, Orlando, Florida in the United State, and Suzanne got married in August 1979 and have four children together – three girls and a boy. The names of the children are Jessica, Natasha, Eleasah, and Joshua.

In 2010, the wife filed for divorce in California’s Orange County Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” after 30 years of marriage.

In 2012, Hinn announced their reconciliation, and in 2013, they remarried in a ceremony in Holyland Experience in Orlando, Florida, officiated by late Pastor Jack Hayford and attended by about 1,000 people.

However, they have been living in separate houses more than 60 miles apart in Florida even as they reportedly own four properties worth over $5 million in the city.

Hinn once shared that his wife was addicted to prescription medications that made her “behave erratically at times.”

“Suzanne started taking certain prescription medications to help her cope with some of her personal struggles. She became dependent on those for nearly 15 years, and those medications made her behave erratically at times,” he said on his ministry’s website.

“As her husband, I did not know the extent of her reliance on these medications, nor did I fully understand just how much harm they were causing to her, physically and emotionally.”

He also admitted to “being so caught up with the ministry, I forgot about my family.”

During their first divorce, Hinn was photographed with televangelist Paula White at a hotel in Rome, Italy.

According to the National Enquirer, the clergyman and White spent three nights in a five-star hotel that he booked under an alias.

Hinn, however, denied having an affair with White, saying he was just friends with her and their friendship had nothing to do with his first divorce.

He explained that the Vatican had made him a Patron of the Arts, and that he had taken the lady to Rome because he wanted her to become a donor to help maintain the Vatican’s art collections.

He said, “I let her come to Rome so she can donate money. That was stupid on my part. And for that, I do ask forgiveness.”

“No immorality whatsoever. These people out there are making it sound like we had an affair. That is a lie,” he was to explain at a crusade in California.

Hinn, in his autobiography, said he and Suzanne met in 1978 while she was a student of Evangel College. He moved on to become a prominent televangelist following his partnership with founder of Charisma Media, Stephen Strang while Suzanne had her own ministry – Purifying Fire – based in California.

Some five years ago, the clergyman denounced prosperity gospel
