Gaza Muslims embrace Christianity after seeing Jesus in dreams

“Then a big miracle happened. Last night, Jesus appeared to more than 200 of them in their dreams! They have come back to us to learn more from God’s Word and are asking how to follow Jesus,” a report from underground Christian ministries said.

Gaza Strip

A new report has said some Muslims in Gaza have embraced the Christian faith after seeing Jesus in their dreams, Christian Headlines said.

The report from underground Christians in the region was posted online by Michael Licona, a professor of New Testament studies at Houston Christian University.

“God is working in the midst of war,” Licona said.

The author of two books – “The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus” and “Paul Meets Muhammad,” said the report was “coming out of Palestine from underground Christian ministries.”

The report said, “Over the past two days, we have ministered to hundreds of fathers who have lost most, if not all, of their children in the war.

“As we moved these men to safety, we fed them, washed their clothes, and began to read the Bible to them, sharing the way of peace through Jesus.

“Then a big miracle happened. Last night, Jesus appeared to more than 200 of them in their dreams! They have come back to us to learn more from God’s Word and are asking how to follow Jesus.”

Professor Licona advised Christians all over the world to celebrate the report emanating from the underground ministries.

He said, “I side with Israel in this war, not necessarily for theological reasons but because Hamas and those backing it are pure evil.

“Yet, I know that not all Palestinians support Hamas. In fact, they will be punished severely if even suspected of not supporting Hamas.

“Let’s pray that this war can be over soon and that Israel can eradicate Hamas so that Palestinians can be free….of Hamas.”

Israel-Palestinian Map

According to the 2012 report of the Institute for Middle East Understanding, there are about 3,000 Christians in Gaza representing less than one per cent of the population of the region.

Al Jazeera however said the population today could be 1,000 or less.

Israel has been at war with Hamas in the Zaza Strip since October.

Lone Gaza Catholic church hit by airstrikes

Meanwhile, the only Catholic church in Gaza, Holy Family Church, has been hit in an airstrike, Church Post has reported.

Aid to the Church in Need ((ACN) said the church suffered shrapnel damage from an airstrike on nearby buildings last weekend.

Holy Family Church

During the attack, water tanks and solar panels on the roof of the church were destroyed and building parish damaged.

The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem confirmed the development.

“Only a miracle prevented a big catastrophe from happening to us,” a local ACN partner stated.

The newspaper reports that the Holy Family Church parish hosts the Rosary Sisters and a priest who care for 750 displaced Christians, including 100 children and 70 people with special needs.
