A Christian, Mohammed Issa Koroma, has been stabbed to death while distributing flyers in Sheffield city, United Kingdom.
Christian Today Koroma, 24, was attacked in High Street and died shortly after in the hospital from injuries he sustained.
Media reports indicated that Koroman was distributing the leaflets of this church when he was attacked but others said he was shopping.
South Yorkshire police have appealed to anyone with information or footage from CCTV to come and provide the information.
“Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time,” Paul Murphy, a deputy chief inspector, added. It’s hard to fathom the impact this has had on them, his friends and the wider community who are coming to terms with what has happened.
“Our investigation into this incident continues at pace and our officers remain at the scene as they conduct their enquiries.”
Meanwhile, a 31-year old man, James Lee, who resides on Doncaster Road in Rotherham, has been charged with the murder and possession of a bladed weapon in public.
Lee appeared briefly in court on September 21 during which he spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth. He has been remanded in custody until the next hearing of the matter.
Lee’s four relations attended the court session.
District judge, Mrs Naomi Redhouse commiserated with the deceased’s family during the session.
“I appreciate you coming today, and I am so sorry that you had to come. I am very sorry for your loss,” Mrs Redhouse said.
