The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) will on December I launch the 2019 general pilgrimage to Israel and Rome.
The Commission’s Head of Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka, disclosed this in a press release on Wednesday.
He said the inauguration ceremony will hold in Lagos and that the inaugural flight made up of intending pilgrims from Lagos State who would be flown to Israel.
He said that the event was earlier scheduled for Nov. 17, but was shifted due to operational reasons.
He disclosed that the theme of this year’s general pilgrimage was “Engaging Christian Pilgrimage for National Change and Development.”
Toruka said this year’s general pilgrimage would cover only two destination countries – Israel and Rome.
He also said the pilgrimage would hold from December 2019 to January 2020.
Toruka assured that the Commission had already settled all logistics issues had been handled in order to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
